who says there are sharks inside the ganges??? well when i was 1992 first time in this city, i almost was loosing one arm by such creature (as i was going by boat over the ganges, i had my arm dangeling inside the river a big fish came up just very close to me... but it was a delphine... )
this time we saw a big group swimming from one side to the next... and they say they do this every day... brrrr
But still i heard rumors of Bull sharks eating nicely inside the ganges... so be careful when you bathe - either in mayapur or elsewhere near the coast of bengal
