Jhomson to Kagbeni (2880m)

While we walked trough the riverbed i had engough time to chant a good number of Mantras and slokas in praise of Lord Narahari, and we started to look around for some nice Salagrama Silas. But well this area is so much searched that it is difficult to find nowadays uncracked and exceptionally good ones in this area. In ancient times the King of Nepal was taking personally care that there is no exploit of the nature and the source of Salagramas. That no one makes and sells them on the street, and only to highly regarded pandits such Silas where given by the king personally. Nowadays you see everwhere cracked ones inside the riverbed, and on the roadtrack sitting the inhabitans of this area and selling them to the pilgrims. Years ago they were trying to sell cracked Silas all around, mostly to western tourist for their homely presents, but now due to the inner conflict in nepal, not many western tourist visit Nepal anymore, but indian pilgrims still come, and they have money too. But they dont want crakced ones, so now you see the shops have a lot of silas without cracked open to show the "fossil"...
Anyway we passed the shops and salagrama sellers, and reached after 3 hours of walk Kagbeni. From Kagbeni you see the Nilgiri mountain range with Tilicho Peak, the holy abode of Rishi Marici. Nilagiri is shining like precious gem, his name is given as the ice glacier is reflecting bluish the sun... phantastic!!!
